In 1979, interviewers asked new graduates from the Harvard MBA Program a simple question: “Have you set clear, written goals for your future and made plans to accomplish them?” They found that:
84% had no specific goals at all
13% had goals but they were not committed to paper
3% had clear, written goals and plans to accomplish them

In 1989, the interviewers again interviewed the graduates of that class. You can guess the results. The 13 percent of the class who had goals were earning, on average, twice as much as the 84 percent who had no goals at all. Even more staggering – the three percent who had clear, written goals were earning, on average, ten times as much as the other 97 percent put together.

If you wish to meet at my office, we can do so. However, I have found that most people have commitments that may make traveling a great distance to meet in my office not be a good use of your time and may be disruptive to your schedule.

We have two fee schedules. The one that applies will depend on which service we are engaged to provide.

The Financial Life Planning service includes both financial planning and investment advisory services. The Life Planning fee schedule is a flat-fee based on your net worth at the time of engagement and may be reviewed and adjusted periodically.

The Investment Advisory Fee Schedule is based on a percentage of assets under management or advisement.

You may use any custodian or brokerage firm to maintain custody over your accounts. Regardless of where the accounts are held, HK Financial will advise as appropriate on your accounts.

We may suggest that you use either Charles Schwab & Company or TD Ameritrade as your broker and custodian for assets managed by HK Financial. However, we have no relationship with Charles Schwab or TD Ameritrade in any way other than the ability to manage your accounts.

You will receive statements of account directly from your custodian.
